Announcement of the upcoming 2nd International Symposium of China-Spain Young Scientists
Global technological innovation has advanced at an unprecedented pace, with green energy, advanced materials, and sustainable development emerging as key priorities for scientific research and industrial transformation worldwide. Young scholars serve not only as the backbone of fundamental research but also as vital links for interdisciplinary innovation and international collaboration. Since its establishment in 2024, the ACSST has remained committed to building a robust bilateral platform for scientific cooperation, promoting meaningful engagement among universities, research institutions, and enterprises in both countries. The successful convening of the 1st International Symposium of China-Spain Young Scientists significantly enhanced dialogue between young researchers and laid a solid foundation for long-term, cross-disciplinary collaboration. Building on the insights and experience gained from that inaugural event, the Committee has further refined the agenda, exchange formats, and partnership mechanisms for the Second Symposium, with the goal of achieving broader and higher-quality academic exchange and cooperation. Against this background, the Association will host the 2nd International Symposium of China-Spain Young Scientists, focusing on Advanced Materials and Sustainability. The conference will bring together leading young researchers and industry experts from both nations to share cutting-edge research findings, explore pathways to industrial application, and jointly seek innovative solutions to the challenges of sustainable development. This symposium enjoys strong support from the Chinese Embassy in Spain, prominent Spanish research institutions, and numerous universities in both countries. As one of the Association’s most important annual international academic events, it will further consolidate collaboration between China and Spain in technological innovation while providing a lasting, open, and pragmatic platform for young scholars, thereby enabling both nations to play an even greater role in advancing global sustainability.
