Warm congratulations to Prof. De-Yi Wang, Chairman of Association of China Spain Science and Technology, on being appointed Honorary Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University

On December 3, 2024, Professor Zhang Liqun, President of Xi’an Jiaotong University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, led a delegation to visit the Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies of Materials (IMDEA Materials) in Spain. During the visit, under the witness of Professor Jose Manuel Torralba, Director of IMDEA Materials, President Zhang held a grand ceremony to confer the honorary professorship of Xi’an Jiaotong University upon Professor Wang Deyi and presented him with the honorary professorship certificate.

At the conferral ceremony, President Zhang stated that, in recognition of Professor Wang Deyi's outstanding contributions to the field of fire safety materials and his significant efforts in promoting scientific and technological collaboration and exchange between Spain and China over the years, the university had decided, after thorough deliberation, to confer upon him the title of Honorary Professor of Xi’an Jiaotong University.
